Zaher Ibrahim
A Palestinian-American adolescent having endured a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest last February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.
American diplomatic officials applauded Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.
Family described him as pale, underweight, while battling health issues contracted in captivity.
Through an official statement, the youth's uncle spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
Family member Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he needs after experiencing harsh conditions and inhumane conditions for months."
American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.
{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security for United States citizens"," it added.
Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to US authorities and the White House, urging greater action for his freedom.
Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his son only confessed regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.
There were no visits nor direct contact since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him through judicial records.
The teenager remained absent formal charges in Ofer prison throughout the occupied territory.
The facility also contains adult prisoners, featuring prisoners sentenced for major terrorist activities and homicide.
There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, per correctional service statistics.
Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.
Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.
The dual national youth per medical officials succumbed to assault by Israeli settlers amid clashes during summer.
Initially, defense forces stated officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian had died.
Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.
No charges have been filed for the cousin's murder.
"We anticipate US authorities to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
