In a commanding performance, England clinched one more triumph against Albania, featuring several players delivering standout performances throughout the game.

Starting XI

Dean Henderson Not a save required before the break before called into action by an opponent's curled attempt. A sliding intervention against an Albanian attacker showed excellent reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined against Albania’s biggest threat through their forward. Started through the middle to begin with but moved to the flank after a teammate was introduced. Seven

John Stones Moved into midfield when in possession, something he's known for before. Sometimes lacked urgency in possession and the approach abandoned by the interval. Six

The tall defender Always dangerous at set pieces, per usual, but may be an alternative for his teammate in defense instead of paired with him. A careless pass after the break nearly resulted in an opener for Albania. 6

Nico O’Reilly One more confident display by the youngster after his initial appearance against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the most of a gorgeous backheel over the Albania defence. The role is his to lose so soon. 7/10

The newcomer A debut start in an England shirt. A bit loose on the ball though his dangerous set-pieces posed a danger. A handy pace-controller available to the boss to have versus sides that sit back. Booked after a reckless challenge. 6

Declan Rice Set-pieces on corner kicks and free-kicks caused problems. Enjoyed room to roam in left midfield but was offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Given a merited rest after an hour. Six

Jude Bellingham Played in a high role out wide and also put in defensive duties. Displayed glimpses of brilliance and mishit a shot wide. Replaced in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. Seven

The winger Had England’s best chance before halftime, his shot smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah holding position, he was forced to stretch the play on the right but his crosses into the box were hit and miss. Taken off with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The match-winner scoring two more goals for his country. His first a typical poacher’s finish and the second an excellent finish with his head after peeling away away from the opposition. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and the side have every chance in future competitions with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Struggled to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass by Bellingham yet Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger an impact when substituted. Five
