Two Charged In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault

Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A toddler was among those injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
